God of War: Sons of Sparta is out now on PS5 Sony shadow-dropped a brand-new 2D action platformer set in the God of War universe during their February State of Play, and it’s available to buy right now on PS5. Shadow releases are always a nice surprise, and this one gives platformer fans on PlayStation something to dig into immediately while waiting for bigger releases later in spring.

Darwin’s Paradox (PS5 – April 2, 2026) This octopus-themed platformer with stealth mechanics got a demo dropped on PS5 following the State of Play. The full game releases April 2, and pre-orders include two exclusive skins. If you want to decide whether it’s worth the buy, the demo is the obvious first move.

Panzer Knights: Commander’s Edition (PS/Xbox – TBA) The console edition of this anime-styled tank simulation was announced on February 25, bundling previous content with gamepad-optimised controls. No specific launch date yet, but keep an eye on your platform store if vehicle sims are your thing.

Bread & Fred (Xbox – available now) This co-op precision platformer where two tethered players coordinate climbs and jumps launched on Xbox this week. It’s already been out on PC for a while, so if you’ve been waiting for a console version, it’s there now.
